Artist's Comments

Here is the final product of my submission for :iconbalacenia:
~Balacenia's contest.

For the contest I had to make a piece that portrayed this old folk song.

There once was a fiddler from Frankfurt-an-Main,
His back had a hump but his fiddling was fine.
On the way to his house, he crossed the square, he crossed the square,
a crowd of lovely ladies was gathering there.

"You poor hunch-back fiddler come play us a tune!
We promise to grant you a worthious boon.
Play a polka or waltz, so gay and bright, so gay and bright,
for we are celebrating Wals Purgis tonight."

The fiddle began, how the fiddle did sing,
the ladies went dancing around in a ring
When the fiddle had played the final chord, the final chord
one lady said "Now fiddler, come claim your reward."

She tapped on his shoulder and counted to ten,
the fiddler stood slender and tall once again.
"Oh i'll fiddle no more," cried he with glee, cried he with glee, "for all the lovely ladies will go dancing with me!"

I think I did rather well for this being my first ever, Hunched-back character and a fiddle. XD
I'm really proud of his hair, bow-holding arm, and pants.
I drew the line art traditionally, then I inked it with a pen, then scanned it onto my computer. From there, I colored it in photoshop then put it on a stone background since I'm bad at making backgrounds.
Anyway, here's my entry, hope you like it.
